The publishing industry uses word count  to define a composition as a short story, novella, flash fiction, or novelette.

Regardless of their length, these works still contain the fundamental elements of storytelling, and therefore can benefit from editing and evaluating all the same.

A story's length will dictate how some elements are presented,  meaning the complexity generally increases as the word count grows.

With this in mind, I've defined categories and pricing specifically for complete shorter works of fiction.

In these packages, a round is simply the number of times I read through your document. Two rounds could mean you receive a developmental edit then a copyedit after you apply any changes. Or you could request a manuscript evaluation and a line edit. We can work together to determine what will benefit the story most.

Authors of anthologies or interconnected novellas set in the same world may be especially interested in these options. I'm always happy to discuss larger bundles for multiple stories.
